Fascinating discovery, but then Cyprus is an archaeological treasure house. I wonder where Akaki is?
One time, I was watching Cypriot workmen and engineers laying new gas (?) mains (wide yellow plastic pipes) along a main road. The digger was handled carefully as it brought up marble columns, bases and carved Corinthian capitals. These were laid along the side of the trench which had been dug. The engineers were clearly used to having to do their work in an archaeological storehouse.
