When I started watching this I could see Alfie’s horror.

    Hallo Jim
As I explained to Phil, this did not raise my blood pressure in the slightest. Poliakoff has obviously had a blow-dry for this clip, which is an advertising puff for the CDNU. For once, the maker of the clip is given full billing, which is no surprise, as for once the whole thing has been competently put together, unlike the usual crap with shaky camera work, fussy backgrounds and experiments which don’t work.
Poliakoff’s hand-waving was rather less than usual; maybe the new film-maker wound him down. His idea that lots more elements are going to be added seems fanciful in the extreme. Most of the recent ones are just atoms with a life of about a millionth of a second. What will the newer ones be like; possibly they will last for a million million millionth of a second.

      Hi Alfy,
I must admit my surprise at your appreciation of the CDNU and Sir Martyn’s latest video. I will have to search elsewhere for some more annoying clips because I would miss your wonderful acerbic comments, they brighten my day.
      I hope you are well.
