Turnip Rock is a true wonder of nature. It is located in Huron County, on the rocky shores of Lake Huron, in Port Austin, near the thumbnail of Michigan. The area is so scenic that if you go there you would definitely be lost in its beauty. It can have foggy mornings with beautiful sunrises, which are a real treat for eyes.
The only way to go to the Turnip Rock is by boats or kayaks. The water is crystal clear and calm here. Some times when the fog is too dense, the whole lake is covered with thick mist except along the distant horizon. Moving towards the Turnip Rock to the east, you will pass Bird Island on the south side.
